Snowflakes

http://www.snowcrystals.com/photos/d1219b055A.jpgSnowflakes are made from particles of dirt that are dressed up in ice. Amazing parallel of how God takes something dirty or unpleasant and turns it into something beautiful. Just like He does with us. Also, like no two are alike, He also put a lot of beauty into something that most people would never even notice and only lasts a few seconds.  Amazing to think that if He put that much handiwork and artistry into a snowflake, how much more does He care and put into us - his crown jewels? Take a look at these amazing pictures of snowflakes. http://snowcrystals.com/

In history class we have been studying about Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.  To give the students a better taste of what life was like back then we watched a few minutes of a video - although not in that exact time period, it gave them a little more context about life in the Bible. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCI3Y2vWYrE

Don't forget that Reading Plus is due on Sunday night.  Spelling City assignments are also up if students would like to get a head start.

Our quote today is from Martin Luther, "God writes the Gospel not in the Bible alone, but also on trees, and in the flowers and clouds and stars."
