Healthy Helping Hands

What an incredible day!!! Thanks to all who came out to support Healthy Helping Hands. Almost $400 raised for the Pueblo Rescue Mission plus a truckload of donations. We also know that many of you came away more educated on health awareness. Praise God for the young people who want to make a difference in their communities and for those that uplift them in this cause.

The students are putting last touches on their projects for the Healthy Helping Hands event this Sunday.  PLEASE come out to support their cause and to encourage them for making a difference in their community. The event is May 22, from 1-4 pm at 116 N. Education Sabbath

Thank you to Mr. Lonnie Hetterle, the Rocky Mountain Conference Vice President of Education, who came to speak at the Pueblo First Seventh Day Adventist Church this past Sabbath. His sermon focused on what it means to be a good parent and what character traits your child is learning at Daystar. The students did a skit titled, "The Harvest is Ready."  Their skit encouraged all people to wake up and get involved in the Great Commission. After the church service, the school was opened for all church members to walk through.

Our quote for today is from David Livingstone, "How can a commission from an earthly king be considered an honor, and a commission from a Heavenly King be considered a sacrifice?"
