Hour of Code is Fun!

Daystar Christian School participated in the Hour Of Code today, which is being held during Computer Science Education Week. The annual global campaign is an effort to ensure all students are equipped with valuable 21st century critical thinking and problem solving skills. I believe that learning computer programming gives kids important skills to navigate a future where technology will influence many aspects of their lives. Here is a great video to promote the event: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FC5FbmsH4fw. There is also a link to the website where students can continue their coding education listed in the post below.

Our Bible verses for this week are:
1st & 2nd graders:
“But the Lord said to me, ‘My grace is enough for you. When you are weak, then my power is made perfect in you.’”2 Corinthians 12:9

5th – 7th graders:
“Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness.  For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.  In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Ephesians 6:14-17
Our quote for today is from George Foreman, "I know from experience that you should never give up on yourself or others, no matter what."
