What a beautiful blessing we had today listening to the FLA Solid Bronze hand bell choir. Some of our students even had the chance of playing some hand chimes with them. Through a question and answer period we also found out that they practice one hour a day, Monday through Thursday. Today we continued learning about the Western Region of the United States. Next week we will have a quiz and then have a review test on all of the regions. Please remember that 3rd and 4th graders will have reading packets due on the first chapters of their new books. The 5th graders will have theirs due on Thursday. Tomorrow the 4th graders will have a chapter math test.
We are working on the common core standard
CCSS.ELA-Literacy.SL.4.(3,4,5) which is to identify the reasons and evidence a speaker provides to support particular points. We are watching a speech by a young women who is now using her trials inlife to be a witness and inspiration to many young people.
