Happy Monday!

Happy Monday! We are back at school and starting our last quarter.  This Thursday there will be a half day because of parent/teacher conferences.  Please sign up in the office.  Friday there is no school for the Easter Break.

Please put April 23rd on your calendars for our Parent's Day!

Our Bible verse this week is:

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

Because of the short week we will not having spelling words or Spelling City assignments.  There WILL be Reading Plus.

5th Graders have reading packets due tomorrow.  Everyone will be getting a new reading packet and they will be due on April 10th.

Please check the math assignment page for tests and assignments.

In writing, the students were assigned a WPP online assignment to watch the elaboration techniques in essays lesson and to do the exercises.  We will begin writing a new essay this week.

In social studies we started unit 3 which focuses on our government was started and why it is important.  We watched a video on the White House: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7NQY4_QlXA

Our quote for today is from Benjamin Franklin, “Happiness depends more on the inward disposition of mind than on outward circumstances.”
