What an absolutely gorgeous day to help our "Bring A Friend Day" and Week of Prayer start off with a glorious bang. The Canon City students joined us and Pastor Steve from the Rocky Mountain Conference Youth Department for our week of prayer. He talked about how God created us and is so excited and proud of each one of His creations. We are all special to our Father and Lord.
Tomorrow and Wednesday we will be going to the Canon City school for outdoor education and a continuation of our Week of Prayer. Please bring a snack, sack lunch, water bottle and clothes that will be warm and comfortable enough to be outside all day.
Today we did scavenger hunt math, writer's workshop and learning about onomatopoeia https://youtu.be/f1b5kCvVBo8, team building activities with marshmallows and toothpicks, crafts, mobius strips https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Am-a5x9DGjg and subway art.
Today I am sending information home about Operation Christmas Child and can collecting for next week. It is so important that we educate our students to love and serve. Martin Luther King Jr. said, "“Everybody can be great...because anybody can serve. You don't have to
have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and
verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul
generated by love.”
