God Is Our Strength

Today in our devotions we discussed how God will give us enough strength to overcome difficult trials and situations. He is our loving father and wants to take care of us. "Fear not, for I am with you;  be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you,  I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10

In reading we started learning different reading strategies to help us better understand what we are reading. One of the strategies is to learn how to summarize by asking the questions who, what, when, where, why and how.  The following is a great video to teach that skill: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dbf_Jby-OS0.

We are still working on our school commercial and began videoing today. The students decided to use all of the rhetorical devices in their commercial.

Please make sure your student is splitting up the weekly work so they are not trying to finish it the night before. The same should be done with anyone long term assignments like the reading packet. This teaches them time management and organizational skills. Parents please watch this video to help teach your child: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNVGoXwTVEE.

Our quote for today is from Menachem Schneerson, "This is the key to time management - to see the value of every moment."
