PBL - Kindness

Today we kicked off our PBL (project based learning) with a visitor (Jen Moody), from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Our PBL will be on kindness!  We are going to start by collecting "Pennies for Patients."  Please help us help others by donating at http://events.lls.org/pages/rm/Daystar-Christian-School-2018#.Wax1kWgtAB4.facebook.

Bring in $1 on Monday for the fundraiser, to participate in jeans and t-shirt day. If we reach our goal of $100 by September 28th we will have an ice cream party!

We are also going to be asking the community through an ad in the Pueblo Chieftain, what they think kindness looks like or how it can be shown. 

Below is the information on the PBL. Please keep track of all due dates and events. TBA will be our December public event. 

Please remember that this is a full week of assignments: Spelling City, spelling and definitions, Reading Plus, and Bible verses.

Our Bible verses for this week are: 

1st - 4th graders - 

“God does not see the same way people see. People look at the outside of a person, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7)

5^th – 8^th graders - 

“May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” 2 Corinthians 13:14)
