State Project Rubric 5st –
8th Grade
This project will be due on October 23rd.
It will count towards your child’s social studies’
grade.
· 50
points for each state being represented and including all information
· 10
points for neatness in coloring, cutting, and gluing.
· 10
points for spelling and capitalization
· 10
points for neatness in handwriting
· 10
points for correct information about each state
· 10
points for folder and title page
TOTAL 100 points
This project needs to be put into a folder with
prongs. Please include a cover page with title, name, and due date.
We will work on this project during the school week.
In order to finish this project, it will take some time at home, as well. I will
send it home with your child each weekend.
States and Capitals
Test
On October 24th we will be having a states
and capitals test. The students will need to locate and name the U.S. states
and capitals. Spelling and Capitalization will also count.
