Bio Poems

This week we are working on finishing up our bio poems for our published classroom book.  All permission slips need to be turned in by tomorrow!

Our Bible verse this week is found in Colossians3: 12-13, "Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other's faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Colossians 3:12-13

As we run towards the finish line of this school year I reflect at how much each student has grown in stature and knowledge.  They have made great strides in many ways and I am so proud of them.  I am prayerfully asking for your partnership as we near the finish line.  Typcially, it is this time of the year that students become tired, distracted or antsy. Please join me in assisting your child across the finish line; helping them stay focused and accountable.  One way to do this is to check the "classroom bulletin board" at velbisclassroom.blogspot.com on a daily basis. Here is a great article with some further tips: http://www.metroparent.com/Metro-Parent/March-2013/Helping-Students-End-the-School-Year-on-a-Strong-Note/.
