Parents Are Appreciated!

Today we turned our "baby" cubes in.  The students were very relieved!  They said that it made them appreciate their parents and the responsibility a parent has.  Mission accomplished!

Today we also read a book and talked about Martin Luther King's contributions to our country.  Please read some of the students responses in today's school newsletter.

Today we finished making our thank you cards to the men and women in the military.  I can't wait to mail them.  I am sure that they will bring a smile to many people.

Since next week is a short week, I have already handed the students their spelling words for next week and put up their Spelling City assignments.

The Bible verse for next week is:

Stop being mean, bad-tempered, and angry. Quarreling, harsh words, and dislike of others should have no place in your lives.  Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God has forgiven you because you belong to Christ. Ephesians 4:31,32

Please remember that the research paper outline paper is due on Tuesday.  Also on Tuesday, our principal's list and honor roll students will be treated to a pancake breakfast.

3rd graders will have their math chapter tests on Tuesdays.

Have a nice 3 day weekend!
