Storms

Image result for god is in the stormOur worship song today was "Eye Of The Storm." A great reminder that God is with us - even in the midst of the storm. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=-sx8wTnnfSc

In writing we talked about purpose, audience and word choice. Ask your student if they can come up with an alternate word for a "simple" word.  We did this in class and they did a great job!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zh2VHa-LGc

5th-7th graders are finishing up their circus narratives.  I will then enter their stories in the Pueblo Country Library writing contest. Some of the students need to continue to work on these at home on WPP online.

Don't forget to work on your interviews. Please record them so that your student can reference them when they are writing their papers. 1st and 2nd graders should use the fill-in the blank papers I gave them.  5th-7th graders will take the information and write it into a research/definition essay. We will start going over that process next week. Here is a great resource: http://www.aresearchguide.com/1steps.html.

Our quote for today is from Max Lucado, "God meets daily needs daily. Not weekly or annually. He will give you what you need when it is needed."
