Mid-Term Reports

What a beautiful day to start our week with!  We began our day learning some new music and we also began learning a poem today for our service on October 24.  Today I am sending home the student's mid-term reports. Please let me know if you have any questions.

One area that the students are improving on but still have a long way to go is in their math facts. PLEASE have your child do flashcards or there are also apps and computer games where they can practice.  This is extremely important for their math future and it cuts down on frustration as we learn new concepts. Here are some sites to try out: http://hoodamath.com/, http://www.aplusmath.com/games/, and http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/math.htm.

Today we started a new history curriculum called Mystery of History. Today we learned about creation. Here is a video that we watched: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWecPwrQv2c&list=PL1v9pqs4w1mxRVplL9I5Pq_qQH9jy8b1V

Please remember that Bible projects are due on October 1 and Reading Packets are due on October 8th.

Our quote for today is from Denis Waitley, "A smile is the light in your window that tells others that there is a caring, sharing person inside."
