Music Monday

What a wonderful way to start our week with music class - thank you so much Ms. Nancy!

The students received a new Bible project today. Here are the specifications:

Goal: Tell a Bible story with modern language and culture.

Project elements:

Tell the complete story using modern setting, language and culture.

Be creative.

You can use any medium.

Information must be accurate. Spelling, grammar, punctuation – conventions will be graded.

Be neat.

Your project should be grade level appropriate and done by YOU.

Project is due: October 1 at 8:00 a.m.

Sample ideas: make a movie, write a play, write an illustrated children’s book, make a poster, do a newscast or radio show, draw or paint a mural, make a diary, etc.

I can't wait to see the creative projects that they will come up with!

Also the students were given reading packets for their reading books. These will be do on October 8th. They must answer the questions using complete sentences - rewording the questions as answers and telling me WHY. These reading packets help them to understand the different reading strategies they need to have better comprehension.

Please also put on your calendar October 24th. This is the date that our school will be presenting the whole church service!

Students were given their weekly assignments. Please help them understand how to use good time management skills to complete all of their assignments - doing a few things a day so that they don't wait until the night before.

EXTRA CREDIT: Our quote for today is from William Shakespeare, "Better three hours too soon, than one minute too late."
