Hot in the Classroom

Thank you Isabelle for taking this fun photo of the boys.

Even though it is cold outside it is HOT in the classroom - the brain power in our classroom is burning bright!!!

The students came in so excited today talking about the information they learned in their "Cite Your Sources" homework assignment. Did you know that John Quincy Adams had a pet alligator???

Today we talked about renewable and non-renewable resources.  They have an assignment to design a new vehicle using a renewable resource that is environmentally friendly.  I can't wait to see what they come up with!

The Reading Plus program that our school is using is an incredible tool to help our students excel. I love this promo from another excellent school that describes all the ways it is helpful: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIdIiWI9joA.

Our quote for today is from Aristotle, "“Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet.”
