Cheering for DAS

Today we took our S.S. map skill test.  The students did very well.  Today the 5th graders had their mid-chapter test.  The 4th graders are continuing to learn how to do long division and the 3rd graders are working on their multiplication facts.

In writing we are continuing our work on homophones and homonyms and we watched a video to figure out the plot of the story.  This took good observation skills since the video had no dialogue.

Tomorrow spelling words 5X, definitions, Spelling City assignments and memory verses are due.  Plus we will have our Friday quizzes.

We will be having a juggler come tomorrow and Indigo to share in the day.  Students need to bring a towel, water bottle and to wear their DAS t-shirt.

Our picture today is of some of the students while we cheered on the upper-graders as they played Jacksonville in soccer.

Our quote for today is from Roopleen, “If you have a dream, don’t just sit there. Gather courage to believe that you can succeed and leave no stone unturned to make it a reality.”
