Happy Birthday Gabriel

This is a very special week.  It is our fall Week of Prayer.  Our guest speaker is Mrs. Gonzalez, the retired principal of Forest City Adventist School. She will be speaking to our students every day from 8:15 to 9:00 a.m.  Our parents are always invited. Because of the Week of Prayer we will not be having a memory verse this week.

It is also special because today is Gabriel's 9th birthday. Happy Birthday Gabriel!!!

Tomorrow the 3rd graders have their chapter 4 math test.  The 5th graders will have theirs on Friday.  Today we took our math facts quizzes.  The unfinished facts are due tomorrow.

We are starting to study the Native Americans in Social Studies.  In writing we are finishing up our lessons this week on homophones. Today we did some homonym sketches that are due tomorrow. In reading we are learning about the informational text features: http://prezi.com/ynntnvyq35xy/text-features-and-purpose/

We did a lesson in handwriting that is due tomorrow also.

Please remember that this Friday reading packets and social studies projects are due.

Our quote for today is from Stephen Richards, “The difference between being mediocre and achieving excellence is you.”
